Early Yak Rushes

Those things are tough to fight off. Last game I had 20+ rocket guys and those yaks still knocked out my MCV at the 4:30-minute mark.

Yaks are overpowered early game.

Tested with 1x1 rushAI and small map. Even with rather dumb AI it is very risky strategy.

If you attack with 3 or less yaks - they arrive at 3 min, but cannot kill CY. If you collect 4 yaks and strike simultaneously - you might destroy CY, but there are a lot rocket soldiers and other troops around (once it even had AA-gun). They will wipe your yaks and unbalanced base rather easy.

p.s. engineers can heal structures.

1) Scout opponent to see what is he doing.

2) Have better macro and prepare SAM sites or AA guns if you see mass Yaks. Rocket Soldier are not enough.

Problem is usually 2). You can check Academy.openra.net Discord for guides of how to macro better.

Right now tested a strategy against RushAI:

power - baracks - couple of soldiers and engeneer (for stealing unprotected base).
3 minutes until gg )
That's what I call rush.
