I doubt that stops someone scanning a base. Even if you get killed you still likely gather intelligence on their position and build order. I will always go WF first or double ref your APC through my base will scout common knowledge. I have defensive structures queued for gren or flamer drops. If you find my early army your apc will die its as simple as that, the information you gained will be invalid because ill move and you dont have a scout now to find me again, a ranger can stalk an army. This is why soviets are hard as it is very difficult to obtain vision untill Yaks are out, as someone said (I think OMnom) that playing soviets is like playing blind chess and requires a lot of game sense to work which I 100% agree with.
