Slight Bug
Do not chrono units with units inside them
Slight Bug
A small bug I encountered today and this seems the most relevant site to post it. Don't know if it already has been noticed.
Having a 4 player ffa with my friends and thought I could chrono Tanya inside my enemys base by putting her inside a jeep and chrono it with few more units.
Before anyone mentions, I know that chrono kills soldiers on the designated area, but to me at least it seemed plausible to chrono unit that was put inside another (jeep, apc, etc.).
As some might guess, Tanya not only died, but bugged out as well. Being marked alive eventhough she wasn't anywhere on the map anymore. To prove my point that she wasn't in the jeep, I can say that it got demolished by multiple artillery.
The rest of the game Tanya was locked and I could not build her again. Still got a victory out of it though.
TL;DR:
Chrono a Jeep with Tanya inside, Tanya disappeared and could not be built anymore for the rest of the game.

Looks like yet another problem with BuildLimit and Techtree updates, compare https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/issues/3576
However your way to reproduce is new. Can you create a ticket for it at http://bugs.open-ra.org please?

Re: Slight Bug
I had a tech centre destroyed while building a tanya, and that also seemed to remove her as an option. (I'm pretty sure I built another tech centre but still no tanya.)

What would be really helpful is if you could re-test to confirm this, instead of just being "pretty sure" on the matter.zinc wrote: ↑I had a tech centre destroyed while building a tanya, and that also seemed to remove her as an option. That being said, after testing this situation myself it turns out that rebuilding a TC re-enables Tanya.
Re: Slight Bug
Thank you for testing. I didn't really know how to test it until I worked out I could use the debug menu thing to make it quite easy.BaronOfStuff wrote: ↑What would be really helpful is if you could re-test to confirm this, instead of just being "pretty sure" on the matter.zinc wrote: ↑I had a tech centre destroyed while building a tanya, and that also seemed to remove her as an option. As you say, I was wrong about this.
are the drivers that get ejected from vehicles infantry units aswell?
if a driver (E1) can survive in a vehicle, any other infantry unit should aswell.
otherwise you would have to be chronoing in a whole load of driverless vehicles....
just makes sense to me.
there is the obvious strat of chrono shifting in an apc full of tanya and w/e. but thats a valid strategy imo
the more ways to screw over your opponent after the turtle warfare stalemate has set in...the better
