OpenRA + Ubuntu 11.04 + GMA5700MHD = Glitch?

Post by Dukat863 »

I have a graphic glitch on Ubuntu, probably related to my video card.
On screenshots where i wanted to show cursor, Ubuntu placed it's own there.

Those images are actually PNGs.

Oh, and terminal (logs are attached too):
Platform is Linux
Using Gl renderer
Desktop resolution: 1366x768
Using resolution: 1364x715
Available mods:
cnc: C&C (playtest-20110914)
ra: Red Alert (playtest-20110914)
Loading mods: ra
AL lib: ALc.c:1879: exit(): closing 1 Device
AL lib: ALc.c:1808: alcCloseDevice(): destroying 1 Context(s)
AL lib: ALc.c:1420: alcDestroyContext(): deleting 32 Source(s)

This cursor got some transparent dots inside it (sometimes i like that Ubuntu place cursor, but not this time).

This happends when you get money. You can't really see things beyond the fog. This bug is also occur on Windows with Cg renderer.

What about to use cg renderer instead of opengl?

So... Is there a fix for this yet

Post by lachoneus »

I am having the same graphical issues, as shown in post #1, in Kubuntu 12.04. I think it might be a video card issue.

And the link to the bug tracker is broken I think.

This is my system HERE
And currently I am unable to install the required ATI driver on my system, because of a lack of hybrid graphics support.

I have another laptop running Ubuntu 12.04 with a Nvidia chipset, and openra runs with no problems at all.

I have searched around in the forums a bit, and I am unable to find a duplicate of this problem.

Has anyone else run into this problem before, and is there a fix yet?

Try

Code: Select all

mono OpenRA.Game.exe Graphics.Renderer=Cg
