Command and Conquer DOS CDs Not Being Recognized

Post by teshia »

Hey guys. Love the work you've done. Just submitting one little bug. When the game asked me to put my C&C CD in during the installation, I did, but it didn't seem to recognize it. When I put in CDs for Command and Conquer Gold, it worked fine. Specifically the ones that didn't work were these ones I own from when the game first came out. These are 1.07 discs. The code in the center of the GDI disc reads "IFPI L239 COMMANDCON1RE R2J" and the NOD disc reads "IFPI L238 COMMANDCON2RE R1H". Hope that helps.

Although you made very large photos, I can't read the data from those with my laser eyes. What actually helps is a screenshot/list of files of the directories so we know if they renamed files on those CDs or if the contents of the MIX archives changed (you can explore those with http://xhp.xwis.net/).

Okay, here's a listing of the structure of the GDI disc. Which MIX files should I be inspecting using XCC Mixer?

The tempicnh.mix is missing which probably makes these disks unsuitable, because we need that content.
