FiveAces - RAGL is back for it's 10th anniversary edition, which also coincides with the 30th anniversary of Red Alert in general. It would be amazing if you could advertise RAGL Season 18 on your channel. The relevant dates:
2026-10-08 Map submission deadline
2026-10-15 Community map vote deadline
2026-10-22 Player registrations close
2026-10-26 Start of Week 1
2026-12-14 Start of Playoffs
2027-01-03 Target for end of Playoffs
We would love to have some new players this season. There are always skill-based divisions, and it's quite doable to get to a competitive skill level in a couple of weeks. The commitment is to play one or two matches per week, and players can organise a time that works for them.
Also if anyone wants to send a 1v1 map in then it could get featured in the game. The playtest has some cool new tools that make map creation way easier than it's ever been before!
Full details and rules are in the Competitions section of the forum: viewtopic.php?t=22259
Additionally if the RAGL Season 1 and 2 champion would like to return then we'd be delighted to have you back!

Hi tttppp, thanks for all the effort you are putting into the league and OpenRA in general! I'll be happy to cover as much of the league as my schedule allows me. Sending you a DM right now!TTTPPP wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 7:59 am FiveAces - RAGL is back for it's 10th anniversary edition, which also coincides with the 30th anniversary of Red Alert in general. Hello again FiveAces, hope you are well. Your casts are as enjoyable as always but I ask you to take a little more care to balance the volume in your videos.
Most important (loudest) - Your voice.
Middle importance (50% volume) - Game sound effects.
Least important (20% volume) - Music.
All three groups are essential for the experience but if the viewer have to focus too much just on hearing what you are saying the point of the video is reduced because while people come to your channel for your commentary and expertise it's a hassle to have to focus too much on the voice instead of just hearing it while focusing on the game.
Sometimes it's hard to hear what you are saying because of the sound effects, other times it's hard to hear because of a louder part of the music.
C&C music is awesome but we have heard it a lot so it should be very quiet in the video, only there to fill the silence if no other sound is playing. The game's sound effects are needed but we need to still hear your voice clearly even if there are explosions and a lot of shots being fired.
Here's an example in today's video where it becomes harder to hear what you are saying: https://youtu.be/PyQYinSIPKc?t=438 (it's not impossible to hear you but the voice is drowned in sound effects, I wish I had saved more examples throughout the summer)
I have wanted to comment on your audio for months but since I logged in today regarding the experimental French turret I thought I would mention it. I hope you consider the feedback, no offense intended. When you think the game and music volume is okay - lower it some more!
