Red Alert Experimental League Season 2

Format

RAEL S02 is coming, starting on Monday the 29th of June and running for five weeks until Sunday the 2nd of August. We will split players into divisions by RAGL ladder ranking, aiming for one or two matches per player per week.

We will run a round-robin in each division and all matches will be three games (note NOT best-of-three). Each division will have between 6 and 11 players.

Matches may be played up to one week earlier or later than the scheduled week, and if left after this point the officials will assign a result (or zero points each) based on the effort to organise from each player.

Registrations

To sign up please reply in the thread below or let us know on the RA 1v1 Discord server. Registrations must be made by Sunday the 28th of June.

Communications

Players are encouraged to organise their matches via direct message. Official communications will be via the 1v1 Discord server.

Replays should be uploaded to the Discord server along with the results.

Map Pool

Matches will be played on a set of maps with the BI-5.1.1R balance (full details of changes). All games will be played on the playtest version.

Miscellaneous

RAEL S02 follows in the tradition of RAEL S01, and we expect to have changes in balance, maps, playtest version and rules throughout the tournament.

Divisions

Players have been assigned to divisions according to their current rating on the RAGL ladder (shown before their name). We have five weeks to play the matches, and every match can be played up to one week early or late within this period (so Week 1 and Week 5 matches have less flexibility). Weeks 2 and 3 are double gameweeks, and all players have two opponents.
