Enable AI for player

Good afternoon.

I would like to make a mod that allows to enable AI for the player. So that the player has AI support. That is, the side is controlled by 2 players.

Is it possible to do this in OpenRA? Does the engine allow it?

If so, how do I do this, and where do I start?
