Week 1
Last season then there was a feeling that something missing was Netnazgul's weekly Frontline reports. I don't think I can get anywhere near to that level of quality and play my matches but I wanted to publicise some highlights for anyone to catch up on. I'm also aiming to do this in a spoiler-free way, so that you won't know whether to expect an epic tier three struggle or an MCV-sell all-in. I thought the start of season Masters delays would be over by now, as players must be fairly familiar with the maps. This week the Master's players collectively decided to take a break from RAGL, so there were no matches. This is now officially the slowest start to a season ever for Masters and has equalled the longest spell without any Masters matches (which was in Season 5).

After several weeks of delays I was expecting to write about more records being broken in Masters, but on Saturday three of the matches were played. This combined with the general quality of some of the Minions games means that we've got a bumper pack of highlights.

We've had a great week of matches this week, many of them coming in the last couple of days. Upps and i like men have both played matches which means that everyone in Masters has started the season. Despite some great play from them I thought that Bain vs Sigil was the highlight of this week:

At the start of the season this week was anticipated to be the last week of the group stage, but according to the rules "the end date can be flexible." We had another good week from Masters, but the playoff spots are still wide open.

We're now going into the final week before the playoffs, and sadly Happy and ilikemen are both marked down as "Season Forfeit". Masters has just four games left, most involving anjew due to timezone difficulties. Bain and goat have already qualified for the playoffs and the remaining two spots will be taken by Upps, Blackened or anjew. Edit: Or Nico could still qualify in fourth place.
Meanwhile in Minions then the top spots have been secured by Goremented (Minions A) and Pinkthoth (Minions B). We pretty much knew this would be the case after Week 1. The second place hasn't yet been decided in either division.

There were quite a few season forfeits in Minions including copla201 who was just two games short, and vvoj who played 10 games then deleted their account.
A couple of notes about this week. First - it was the last week on the playtest and the new release is now out. Future games will be on the release. Second - in an attempt to avoid spoilers I've included links for the full set of matches in each match. If a best of three finishes early then the other games will be random chosen from the ladder. If you don't want spoilers then try not to look too closely at the game details.
In Masters then anjew and Bain were tied for third place, and since their match was 1-1 then they needed a best of three rematch to decide their seeding for the playoffs.
