I remember a few releases back, and in-game crashes used to be quite a major flaw with OpenRA. The game has been steadily improved and made much more stable.
However, the latest release seems to have gone a bit wrong in this regard...

Usually its very helpful to bring these kinds of things to the attention of developers via IRC or GIthub as the forum is slow to get responses. Im certain that any crashes you receive that aren't caused by your own system, are definitely not intended.
Also mentioning how to reproduce the crash, as well as, supplying the logs provided in your folders is detrimental to sorting out crashes. Maybe you could do that now?
