As for registrations - they seem to be a tad slow atm - yet I still hope for this to change as we move closer to the tourny itself. Maybe it is also wise to directly ask a few well known people whether they would be interested in forming a duo team and registering for the tourny?

On a different note, maybe we can find a date where we all would have an hour to spare in order to join up on mumble and discuss the most urgent topics arising up until then.

With this I wish yeh all a nice week, maybe we'll have a chat on mumble on in the IRC.

Take care.

EDIT: "[00:11] jaZz_KCS Also I though about using the already present replay folder structure on my webserver for the tourny hand-inns so you officials can get them quick for reference. Once they are uploaded, they cannot be tinkered with anymore."

EDIT.II: Whenever there's some new artwork available I would like to be informed in order to change the logo on the mumble server, so that passing ppl see the tourny banner.

Used most of jazz's text on the tag team ad.

Waddayathink? It requires brutal feedback.

Where's it being advertised?

I would try to use the iconic ra1 soviet logo top middle to be consistent with the other faction logos

Very nicely done, SS.
Def. more pleasant to the eyes than what I did there, heh :D

Could you make a smaller version also, not more width than 400 pixels, with everything more condensed yet the same text information? Becasue for things like mumble and the like this is too big, obviously.

I can't just resize the image, since the text would be unreadably small.

EDIT: Nevermind. It is still okay and readable with a width of 500, as you can see:

Will use this for the servers and stuff, if anything changes I will adapt to the new picture.

Any other custom resolutions that can be more helpful?

@Hamb: noted for future reference. I'll just stick with what we currently got so we can get on with the advertising.

It's time:

1: Add the big-ass image above on top of the main post.

2: Ask dev's to add newsposts including image to OpenRA's portals: (happening!)

OpenRA.net
Facebook
Twitter
ModDB
Steam

Eventually 5A's promo video will be included.

3: Spread newsposts to various non-official sites:

I'll be duplicating the upcoming official newspost at:

gamereplays
teamliquid.net - http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/games/5 ... ne-2000#14
reddit
cncnet - http://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=5440.0 (awaiting approval)

What else?

Finally.

It is time.

Announcement video is out now.

Took me way longer than it should have, but there's only so much you can do with a homemade $20 greenscreen.

Time to start the hype train!

Hey there!

Could we maybe have a quick talk - amongst officials - regarding some technical tag tourny things that are still to be discussed in order to make a few things more organized than the last time. And maybe adapt a few of the tools marginally used the last time and implement them to their full portential?

Maybe you guys have a few minutes to spare on monday after SS's next Thunderdome stream where we could quickly get into a private mumble room to discuss them?

On the other hand this could also be done here, albeit I have the feeling that these things could be layed ad acta much more quickly if we just meet up on the mumble, if we are not already there for SS's stream anyways.

cheers

Absolutely, I'll be there after the monday stream!
I've been contacted by Hector Doomhammer btw, he offered to provide additional coverage on twitch as secondary co-caster, and I think that would be pretty cool considering he has 1k subscribers and could potentially bring lots of viewers into OpenRA (plus, he will throw a steam game into the prize pool). What do you think?

I'm not gonna lie. That sounds like a win-win. For the tournament, as well as ORA itself.

I have been asked by FiveAces to join him and SoScared as co-commentator.
I will be covering things from my perspective on my own Twitch Channel on the 5th at least

This is a great idea. I'll make it a point to stop the stream at about 10pm UTC. You know, when the stream is actually supposed to stop :)

I'm very excited about Doomhammer's participation!
