Is there any way yet to pause the single player game of OpenRedAlert?

I was also wonder if save states will be available or are being considered?

https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/pull/2149 is being worked on and is already in the last playtests as it seems.

it works as well, but have only tried in singleplayer.....

How can we make sure its not beeing abused?
Who can pause? Who can unpause?
