Black screen when opening openRA

When I open openRA, I only get a black screen with part of what looks like controls in the bottom right. No idea how to get past that. Tried the enter key, tab, space, you name it.

How can I fix this? I installed the latest stable deb from the website.

Try the unstable. You're hitting a bug that was fixed since the stable release.
