Help with music and getting started with OpenRA

Post by Drewpants »

Hi. First off, OpenRA looks amazing - it's the kind of project I was dreaming of when I was busy modding the original Red alert and Tib Sun back in my uni days.

I'm ashamed to admit I'm having problems figuring out how to get the music up and running in OpenRA - I have all the mix files from the original discs but since installing the game without them to hand I can't figure out how to get OpenRA to recognise them. Any help would be great.

In return as I begin to get my head back into modding and working with OpenRA I'll create a document for each little thing I learn along the way with the intention of creating a quide for noobs to get started with.

I should mention that like everyone else I have a "day job" to worry about and the odd writing gig to do but as a long time C&C fan I'd love to spend as much time on this as I can.

True, they got their own tracks.

Just copy over main.mix from expansion CD/image, and you're done.
