Hello everyone,
I really like OpenRA and its retro gameplayraft wars, but I believe there are some areas where we can improve the experience. Here are some suggestions:
Unit Balance: Is it possible to review their stats to make them more balanced?
Map Diversity: While there are many great maps, I think we could benefit from more diverse environments. Are there any plans for new official maps?
What do you think of these suggestions as gameplay improvements? Have you encountered any of these issues?
Improving gameplay in OpenRA

The community is creating new maps constantly. They are hosted on https://resource.openra.net

Regular skirmish maps are unlikely to become outdated. Maps with customized rules can be given a pass through the OpenRA Utility to update them, though some handmade tweaks might be necessary.

Hi Robert.
Do you talk about 1v1 or team games/FFAs?
Yes, OpenRA is very flexible and you can put your balance in YAML file in new or existing map and play it. It's very easy.
Otherwise, ORA community discuss a lot about gameplay. I personally run a lot discussions recently about ways to fix that in more radical way, but it's really hard. I also started the Experimental League, yesterday: viewtopic.php?f=85&t=22030
If you have Discord ping me from Main OpenRA Discord server and I can share some links where we discussed.
There's also Competitive discord server where the best ORA players discuss and set balance for next RAGL tournaments.
