Briefings & Extra Music
So, I have C&C95 and Red Alert installed with all the briefings and the Counterstrike and Aftermath music. How can I add this to my installation if I didn't use a disc? (Remember, they are FREE downloads from EA's website, so there is no need to have a copy of the discs anymore.) Thanks.
Only official media supported as of now [in all it's forms though, "The First Decade" and "Ultimate Collection" will also work.]
Installed versions cannot be used to auto-import atm, since it cannot be guaranteed that the files have not been tinkered with. This ensures that all the songs for example will be found and that they all wil be able to be played back correctly.
There is, however, still the possibility to manually add the files, copying them over to the content folder [renaming them if applicable]. You can have a look around the github of OpenRA in order to see how the games expects the content files to be laid down in the contents folder.
Example: You can substitute the scores.mix file with the one from Aftermath to have all the songs available in-game. ORA will autodetect which files are being used.

First of all, this mod looks truly amazing, and thank you to everyone who contributed.
And secondly, thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for. I found the music files and added them manually to the scores.mix file.
Another question, and forgive me if this has already been covered, as I am new here. Is editing the rules.ini file or equivalent acceptable? I would NEVER use it in a multiplayer match, so cheating is not in my purview, and I completely understand if it's not permitted. I tweaked some things in my original RA1 install and would love to port them over to this mod. Thank you again for all your work.

Please note that we won't offer any support if you do this. The installer will automatically detect and install the aftermath music without having to resort to tricks like this that might have other unwanted side effects.jaZz_KCS wrote: ↑Example: You can substitute the scores.mix file with the one from Aftermath to have all the songs available in-game.
