Get map BACK on server ? Eg Europe best....ao it can be used for
multiplayer games
Cant seem to find this map on any server, It used to be on the german servers. Its a heavily edited and lag free version of the Europe map by Ricepower. Took about a week to do all the edits and testing!
I Would like to see it made available again for multiplayer internet games, had a lot of fun on it!
The original Europe map is still on a few servers but its laggy & incomplete compared to Europe Best
Q What steps have to be taken to get in order to get the 'Europe Best' map back on the servers ?

You should be able to select that map in your client (download it from the resource site and put it into your maps folder, see https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/wiki/Mapping#location ).

Try uploading the map to your own account. Maybe stick in an explanation of why you are doing it.
That should work I think. It should then be available on *some* of the servers, but not all.

I dont understand what you are saying, i allready created an account on the mapserver ages ago and uploaded the map there ages ago....some time after i did this it became available for multiplayer on many of the german servers....sadly this is no longer the case as it is no longer listed on any server.
It was available on most German servers a few months back but doesnt seem to be on any server now.

Anyone can download the Europe Best map and play the map in skirmish mode. Thats is not the problem.
The problem is that it WAS on the multiplayer servers but is now no longer there so you cant play online multiplayer games with it anymore.
Q how do i remedy the situation ? ...ie how do i ensure the map apears in the servers so it is availabe for online multiplayer games

A: The only way you can make sure the map is available, is to create your own server. Otherwise the owner of another server will need to make it available for you, which he or she may do if you ask nicely.dzine wrote: ↑

(2) Upload the map again.
Not sure what the issue was but Raymundo took 5 minutes out to solve it, many thanks Ray. We also play tested the map 3v3 and after an epic 1 hour+ game the 2 remaining players on team Ray finaly ground their way to victory in the closest match ive seen played on that map.

EUROPE BEST
Europe best is a modified version of the part finished Europe map created by Ricepower. The original map had too much ore and several countries were missing. It was also very, laggy even with 4 players. I rebalanced the start rescources oil etc, reduced the total ore and ore spawns and removed a lot of lag inducing eye candy as well as widened the spanish west sea.
Best played with 4 to 6 players teamed east vs west or as FFA
Can be played with 8 players but will need fast computers and good connections to avoid lag.
Its a large map and the diverse geography generally makes for intense dynamic play as opposing sides spool up and throw huge fleets and air swarms at each other. Tactical Raiding is also effective throughout the game as 'eye cant be everywhere' and power down can leave you blindsided due to the maps large size. Its the kind of map where anything can happen
