Got render shock loads that affects sound and screen

Post by Forastero »

Okay, so now I'm running a Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on my iMac 27

Processor 2,8 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB

and while playing I'm getting annyed by this shock loads on render line. It affects the sound in a very unpleasant way. Is there any ideas how to deal with that?

Got the screenshot attached

As I can see no one knows what to do with this sound-interrupting bug. It kinda stutters the sound and the music for a split second every time this green curve jumps up. What should I do? Cap Framerate helps me get this interruptions like three times less, still it's very irritating.

There are some issues about bad performance on Mac reported on http://bugs.open-ra.org/ but I have to admit that I have no idea. Have a look at https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/wiki/F ... ay-too-low I recently added some tips for Linux gamers.

How can I "start with mono-sgen OpenRA.Game.exe or mono --gc=sgen OpenRA.Game.exe to use the new and improved garbage collector", on OS X as written in FAQ?

From console or something?
