Thanks to everyone who voted for Almost Arid (my map)! It was designed specifically as a competitive map. I've playtested it extensively in the past and it survived many iterations, so I'm confident in it.

@Wippie , I played Heroes and I must admit, it's a pretty fun map. What I liked is how hard to base-push on it because of the careful placement of trees. It's small, but not very choky. That's how the map was called back then. Then it was transformed into BtV. Behind the Veil is 100% based on the screenshot above :)

New map! A solid 1v1 map inspired by Behind the Veil. In v1 of Almost Arid, I literally copied top and bottom areas of BtV and swapped them. The map has already been through many refinements and I've already seen a few games on it. I am really happy about the map and it's probably my best map so far...

I can see that the map pool will contain 12 maps at max. My humble suggestion is to limit the map pool to 7-8 maps. This way people can focus on map strategies better (easier to train). It's also more likely that all maps would be played (in Season 2 some maps were barely played).
