Hey N/A, nice write-up, really liked you talking about mapmaking.

Sometimes the colors make it a bit difficult to read, same with the centred text, but the content is very nice.

I also think this pre game lobbying is a big problem for the TD community, I have seen a couple of times when new players join our lobby and stay for a few minutes and then they leave because nothing happened. It will prevent the community to grow. It doesn't help either when you don't have much ti...

I would If not that, I'd recommend at the very least making all masters players play as 'any'. This is something I can get down with. Me too. I think forcing players to stick to one faction limits strategy needlessly. Either let players pick their faction each time, or force them to play random.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK units would not attack base structures automatically in the vanilla RA, only base defences and units. Therefor this feature has nothing to do with base-pushing, if it changes the base-pushing meta this is coincidental. In any case, I haven't tried the change but I'...

Real nice matches, I've seen some of the Orb vs. Juicebox matchups, good stuff. Hopefully I'll get my pc running again this week, so I'll be able to get some practice in before next RAGL season. So, what's up with the spot for RAGL, does it go to the highest placed non Masters player? I'd love to se...

Another question : Is it possible to change a map's dimension ? I'm trying to make a copy of an existing map (Vegetation), change the dimensions in map.yaml (changing MapSize: 128,128 Bounds: 16,16,96,96 into MapSize: 192,192 Bounds: 16,16,160,160 ), then putting back the new map.yaml into the .ora...

if that is how it's intended to work. It is intended to work like that. Units not auto-targeting buildings would be an interesting change to the game. It would make capturing a base much easier, because you can a-move your army, and have engineers capture buildings directly after. Not sure if it wo...

This would be the best thing coming to OpenRA after sliced bread. With something like this we could hold an accessible A.I. scripting tourney, which would be all sorts of awesome. In terms of features, it would be nice if the AI could be conditional in terms of enemy units, and "cheat": e.g. if the ...

Views: 95624 Theres your test analysis. Check the vods and watch them closely. This is a video of someone playing TD. I'm not sure how you would think this is an analysis, but the jury isn't convinced yet. Maybe you could take a single game out of RAGL and make a case the bounty s...

For me the timers and the global laugh are part of Red Alert. I think there is no point in discussing whether they are good or bad, they are just part of the game. Changing them will make Red Alert a little more generic, which is not a good thing IMO. That being said, should fake buildings of France...

Allied infantry is better than soviets, because of the medic Allied armor is better than Soviets, because medium tanks are faster and cheaper. I wouldn't be surprised 10k invested in Medium tanks can even win vs. 10k in heavy tanks, based on hitpoints / firepower. Allied air is better than Soviet ai...
