Trolling - what can be done? ( .1 impersonation + team killing)

I agree the trolling is a problem. It's easy to say people are treating it like a "life or death" situation when you're the one trolling. You'd probably feel different if you were on the receiving end.

It's also just not good for the health of the game in general.

I've been on the receiving end of it PLENTY of times.... lol, what kinda statement is that even, Ive been playing this game for a long time, of course I've been trolled.

That kind of behaviour is indeed unacceptable, especially from somebody who has a position of authority within the multiplayer community. We have discussed the issue, and it should not happen again.

Regarding other players bad behaviour: the best advice I can give is to remember the players who play fair, and those who don't. You can use the forum accounts to identify that the good people are who they seem to be (not impersonated), and use the kick-ban feature when you are an admin in a game to keep out those who are not.

Using another name is not against the rules, especially in-game. That is one of the reasons why the auth was created. Anyone is free to use any name. If you don't want people to think its you, auth your name and people will know if its you or not.

It is quite bold to use an argument around 'people will know if it is you or not' when your own deliberate actions undermine that very principle.

The auth system was designed for exactly this. To give more protection to the players. I would suggest you auth your account, and then nobody can claim to be you.
