UOE Tournament on 20th January

Post by SirCake »

Hello guys,
I finally decided to put the prize money I got from last seasons RAGL (+some more) toward an OpenRA tournament!

The tournament will use my UOE (Underused Options Empowerment) rules for the ra mod just for fun. You can enlist for either the "serious bracket" which has a $50 prize for the first place,
OR the "experimental bracket" where masters players are banned and anyone else can have some fun! Follow the links to challonge.com for more details!

See an illustration of (most) rules changes here: image
Full rules changelog here: map description text
Casual stream by SoS featuring UOE: stream video

There are only 8 slots each.
Registration is live!
Total Prizepool: $90 (thanks to NoobMapMaker and SoS for their donations!)

If you are interested to help out as tournament official or want to live cast the tournament, pls contact me via Sleipnir PM or Discord direct message. Help is gladly accepted!

Good stuff and the UOE balance changes are very interesting. I'll add $25 to the prizepool.

Offering services. As it is - of course - tradition.
A great day for Zielona Gora and therefore the whole world.

Thanks Jazz, your support is appreciated!

Hey, nice to hear Lorry and Happy. Enlisted!
Happy are you sure you want to go experimental? Basically you are masters now, only not by name (yet). Everyone may enlist for the serious bracket, but only the top 8 of those who register will actually be able to play. And prize for 1st palce is only in serious ;)

Also, I'll accept registrations in this thread now.. since no one bothers to send PM's anyway ;)

I'll enjoy playing in either bracket if possible.

Hey eskimo, very good :)
You can either enlist for experimental (first 8 who register will be accepted) or for serious (top 8 [as of RAGL S4 final scores] who register will be accepted). It's not possible to enlist for both.

Which one do you want to register for?

Great exposure for tons of interesting balance concepts. Love it! Throw in $25 from me as well.

just realised, these links are actually the wrong way around. Experimental goes to serious and serious goes to experimental

yes, I posted an announcement on Discord, too.
Might have to fuse both brackets, we'll see though.
