User Interface Concept

Hi everyone. This thread will be dedicated to OpenRA user interface concept. From time to time i'm gonna post here some images and files for free use.

You can download vector attachment to modify it to your taste. You'll need Illustrator CC 2015 or newer version.

For now i have only main menu and background concept. More content coming later.

i've got error message "tried to upload empty file", when tried to upload one ~4,5 mb rar archive, so i split him up.

Looks very modern, but still fits to the 90s theme. I really like it. Does it include (C) protected artwork from thirdparty sites or is it all your design?

Ah yes. I forgot to mention about europe map. I've used and modified file from wikipedia.

I'm most interested in seeing your design for the game lobby, since that is the most complicated part of the UI and constrains the design of everything else.

I'm gonna redesign it in next time.

I think most complex part of user interface is Server Browser. So here is my first attempt to remake it. I've made classic and my custom layout.

The new concept layout and design looks very good, really impressive!

It would also be nice if, when you hovered your mouse over the map preview it displayed a much larger version of the image on screen.

Looks very, good, I love this desing!

However, don't forget the RA1 timeline! It should correspond to the map of post WW1 Europe, and part of central europe was pro-soviet in RA1. (Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania).

I'm sorry if my question seems a bit odd, but how do i install your menu ? I'm quite annoyed by the invasive sound of the original.

FWIW you can turnoff the shellmap in setting which will turn the background into a blackscreen with no noise. This is also getting changed in the next release.

The main menu backgrounds are fantastic. What would be great is if it changed relative to your progress in the campaign.
