Paratroopers allready with a rank
Making it look more "special-air-force-like" ...
-> 1 unranked ... and 4 ranked , ascending (giving you 1 guaranteed star-ranked unit)
i thought .. its kinda odd that a chinook can transport 7-8 units ... while a big soviet transport-plane can only drop 5 ... so this should make the difference
this is my idea towards making paradrop more exciting and worth the surviving of AA's
i will file the ticket if this gets enough positive reactions

How about you can save your paradrops? They come every 2 mins or so? So what if you dont drop them for 8 mins and then finally do it 4 planes come flying and drop the normal unranked groups.

How about just increasing the amount dropped to be the same as chinook if anything?
As long as you use them right, paratroopers can be really effective as they are. I don't really see a need to change. The only thing that really annoys me is the stupidly random direction they come from. Surely, if you want to drop on the left side of the screen, that's where they come from? And vice-versa.

well im fine with paratroops consisting only out of 5 men ... giving them "ranks" would make the difference to a 8-men-drop on a fragile chopper making it look like a special-force ... that woud make it less odd imo
im not balancing something out here by giving 5 infantry-units ranks ... this is more of a "gameplay - accent" ... not a gameplay-changer
but if you guys want stuff fixed --> make tickets on github

I think they all have +1 rank is good too. (so five rank 1's instead of 5 rank 0's)
Apparantly not liked, but liked by me, is the timerthingy: the longer you wait, the more paratroopers are dropped.
