RAGL Frontline Reports :: S06.8

Post by netnazgul »

The season has officially come to a close! With a bunch of games played, upsets had, comebacks dealt and victories achieved we now have yet another series to remember in this fine history of OpenRA.

Season 6 Scoreboards and Fixtures thread.
Final Standings
All the replays you of course can download at jaZz_KCS's File Archive.

Masters Playoffs
The playoffs got somewhat delayed due to Anjew and FiveAces not being able to synchronize between their timezones for a tiebreaker match (that's one of the discussion points for the future), but in the end we had it played, and FiveAces finally managed to get back into Masters Top4 where he wasn't present since his latest RAGL Championship back in Season 2.

Semifinal I: ZxGanon vs Orb

Semifinal II: Barf vs FiveAces

Bronze Match: FiveAces vs ZxGanon

Final: Barf vs Orb

Final prize pool shares ($260 in total):

RAGL Masters Champion - barf - $94
RAGL Masters 2nd - Orb - $47
RAGL Masters 3rd - ZxGanon - $34
RAGL Masters 4th - FiveAces - $29

RAGL Minions Champion - Jur - $26

Random finisher prize - Anjew - $10
Random finisher prize - mechANIC - $10
Random finisher prize - dragunoff - $10

Random finisher prizes were drawn among the players who succesfully finished the season outside prize spots and didn't accumulate strikes. I'd have liked to randomize those on stream, but forgot to do it properly :dead:

Thx for all the Frontline Reports during the season and to the Officials which made this Event possibel!

For my taste it was a good Season maybe with less Player then usual, but with also way less SF then at the last one ;)
The change to two matches during a week was the correct one.

I've planned to sign up for the next season.
