Tables updated for Round 8! As always, please report any descrepencies with the tables asap.

Because of rampant forfeits Round 7 and 8 in the Recruit Divisions, a lot of points have been pulled, resulting in some player repositions. Note that within the season, every player will have a match vs every other active player so the final standings will look orderly despite temporarily looking funky. Recruit Division Beta in particular (sheesh :) ).

It's never fun to pull tons of points from certain players who's grinded points from mostly forfeited players but at this time, this is how it has to work.

3 more rounds until the conclusion of RAGL Season 2!

Tables updated for Round 11 - Delayed matches still pending!

Still matches left to decide top/bottom positions for most divisions, with a couple of exceptions:

Congratulations to Zaqzorn for topping Recruit Division Alpha, after eeking out a victory over Smitty. After both players equalized in score plus had their season match resulting in 1-1 the final position was decided upon Zaqzorns guest points, avoiding a best-of-3 tie-breaker vs Smitty. Zaqzorn has qualified for the Path of The Hidden Master in which the first leg qualifier will be against either Wee Man or LorryDriver from Recruit Division Beta. In any event, both Zaqzorn and Smitty will at minimum advance towards the Minions' Division for Season 3.

Players Blackened and Orb both secured their 3rd place in their respective Recruit Divisions and has qualified towards the first leg qualifier (a best-of-5 between themselves) towards the Minions' Divison qualifier. Good luck to them both!

A quick note on the Minions' Division, player FRenzy is close on taking 1st, however still awaits player Han who has the potential to tie FRenzy for 1st place!

More information on qualification matches will be shared during EDR 2 (next week).

Tables updated for Round 11 - Extra Delay Round 1 - delayed matches still pending!
  • Final standings for the Recruit Division + a major announcement concerning Recruit Division qualifier and promotions.
  • Final standing for the Minions' Division promotions + recent developments.

SPOILERS!

Recruit Division Alpha/Beta

All results are in for both Recruit Divisions. Lorry Driver managed to take the points vs Wee Man in what was considered a surprising challenge to LorryDrivers' dominance after Wee Man kept on winning his matches all the way to the final Round.

Congratulations to LorryDriver for winning his league and gained access to the Path of the Hidden Master, a qualifier starting with a best-of-5 vs the winner of Recruit Division Alpha player Zaqzorn and potentially a best-of-5 vs the 4th positioned Minions' Division player for a spot in the next seasons' Masters' Division (given the 3rd-to-last Masters' position has been forfeitted).

Also, what might jokingly be called the Path of the Hidden Elephant in The Room, due to extra spots available in the above divisions there are now currently 3 direct promotional spots in both Recruit Divisions, granting LorryDriver, Wee Man and Orb direct promotions from Recruit Beta and Zaqzorn, Smitty and Blackened direct promotions from Recruit Alpha. Additionally player Raymundo (Alpha) and SirCake (Beta) has been granted a qualification spot (playing against eachother in a best-of-5) for an additional promotion.

Congratulations to all Recruit Division players who weathered an ambivalent season with forfeits and scrambling player points, looking forward to a heavy competetive Minions' Division for Season 3!

Minions' Division

Due to a last minute player forfeit the top 2 positions has switched between OzzyOuzo and FRenzy, giving OzzyOuzo 1st place after beating Han 2-0 in a very important match-up, thus standing with only 1 loss against FRenzy himself who stands in 2nd place with 2 losses, 1 vs Ozzy and 1 vs Han. A close race to the end but well earned promotions for both of them! Looking forward to see them both in the Season 3 Masters' Division! 1st place pays out $105 and 2nd 65$.

Also, congratulations to OzzyOuzo for being the first player in the RA Global League to promote himself through both Recruit (Season 1) and Minions' Division, taking 1st in both!

Meanwhile there's still a battle going on for two qualification spot towards the Masters' Division. Players Han, T and NoobMapMaker stands one match-up left involving NoobMapMaker vs T and Han vs Jayman, giving player Han a significant advantage to take 3rd with his current score. T and NoobMapMaker looks essentially to be playing for the 4th position qualiofier and potentially standing in the Path of the Hidden Master for the emerging Recruit player.

Worth noting, due to the Masters' forfeits in season 2, none of the current Minions' Division players stands in danger of relegation towards the Recruit Division.

Masters' Division

Still in a mist the top 5 players in the Masters' Division has yet to find their place for Season 2! What's at stake is a mindblowing sum of $605 to be payed out for 1st to 5th place!

Most apparent is the duel between FiveAces and Medium Tank with one of their remaining matches being against eachother! Medium Tank does however have an edge with currently one loss less and one extra matchup vs FiveAces, with his second match being vs none other than Barf himself!

Unless the situation unfolds dramatically, Gatekeeper, Klaas and Barf are fighting over the 3rd-5th place in the league! Gatekeeper has all his matches played and is essentially waiting for the outcome of Klaas vs Barf, Barf vs Medium Tank, Barf vs Anjew, all matches involving Barf who has to complete the next 3 matches within next week!

Additionally, player Anjew avoided a tie with Testosterone Rex, securing his position in the Masters' for Season 3. Staying in the qualifier spot, Testosterone Rex will have to play the 3rd placed Minions' Division in a best-of-5. His opponent likely to be player Han.

Finally, yours truly managed to finally grind some points after faceplanting the first 6-8 Rounds in the Masters, resulting in a funny table position where all poinst were lost to the players positioned above and all points gained from the players below. No money prizes to be gained for 6th place tho.

For all the remaining matches in season 2,
glhf!

Tables updated!

FiveAces is the league champion for RAGL Season 2!

FiveAces edged a win over Medium Tank in the Masters' Division with a superior count on guest point and thus claimed his 2nd championship! In addition to the bragging rights he also claims a whopping $270 in prizemoney!

Medium Tank and Barf split their points on the last day of the league preventing Medium Tank from grabbing that needed point in order to take first place. However as a runner-up he can claim a juicy sum of $155 for his 2nd place!

The last match point split being host matches also means Barf is on equal footing with Gatekeeper who now has to play a tie-breaker (best-of-3) in order to decide upon which claimes 3rd place in the league.

Also not yet mentioned is that all division winners will recieve 125 Kel (forum currency) to spend on this forum's wonderful Kel Shop :D
SoScared will grab a comission of 15 Kel and reserve himself of all charges of corruption and otherwise fraudulent behaviour.

A seperate Final Standings forum thread will be posted sometime during next week, and updates concerning tie-breakers and qualifiers will still be posted on this results/fixtures thread as the numbers come in.

Congratulations to FiveAces. I'm not even surprised here. Probably the most consistent and dedicated OpenRA player of all time! This season the competition was tougher and yet he managed to win. Impressive!

Thank you so much SoScared and JaZz for upping the ante in season 2!
It is amazing to witness the competitive scene growing from a small seed into a thriving and flourishing garden,
and much of that rests on your shoulders.

Season 2 has seen its fair share of clutch moments, but the finals were a photo finish. Congratulations to Medium Tank for dismantling the competition, pulling even with me and finishing second only due to technicalities.
Thanks to everyone across the divisions who participated.
I think this format has the potential to become a solid ladder system that will invariably attract competitive players from other RTS,
expanding the playerbase and netting us tons of amazing games to learn (and, in my case, cast ;) ) from.

As for the prize money, I have decided to donate it towards a new pot
that SoScared and I will share to fuel further competitive events outside of the RAGL
(mostly due to the RAGL prize pool already being obscenely high).

Here's to hoping that season 3 will be as amazing as the previous ones!

Thanks to everyone who participated in one way or another!

Update:

Due to a miscalculation on my part I'll be re-introducing the second leg of the R2 qualifier, meaning an additional best-of-5 between the winner of Recruit Alpha R2 Qualifier (SirCake) and the 5th-to-last positioned Minons' player (Stepexxx). The miscalculation involving the amount of forfeited players vs aditional promotions regarding Recruits/Minions' towards Season 3.

Of Season 1 I simply immunized the remaining Minions' players from qualifications/relegations due to forfeits but this will not be the case towards Season 3.

The qualifier, second leg involves a best-of-5 between Stepexxx and SirCake.
