Damnit Lavrentiy where have you been lately? Good to see you again! :)

Yeah we've pretty much set everything up ready to go but definitely could use some more backup should it all not go according to plan. Welcome back, commander :)

You know, serial birthdays of relatives and other stuff.

Yeah, I'm watching this twitch channel. I'll read this document too.

#openra channel on freenode.net. You may also try http://webchat.freenode.net/ if you don't have IRC client, but you always can try some free one like kvirc (IRC client http://www.kvirc.net/) too.

Tomorrow, March 13th 2016, will mark the closing day of the OpenRA Tag Team Tournament 2016, organized by Ripsn and hosted by FiveAces, SoScared and myself.

Because we weren't able to get all the planned matches played today, we will be starting the last Semi Final Best of 5 at 15:00 GMT (at the end of this countdown ) on FiveAces' Youtube channel and my channel on Twitch

After this we only have the Finals left.
Because 2 best of 5 matches on the players is really stressful, the finals will be held after a dinner break, at 19:00 GMT (at the end of this countdown ) and we will be concluding it with the award ceremony as well as something special as a bit of a bonus!

Hope to see you all then!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this day marks the conclusion of the Tag Team Tournament,
an event that has surpassed all our previous tournaments in scale and magnitude,
and what a run it has been!

From the initial bracket hassles and timezone confusion to a finale as smooth as butter,
we as a community have learned something and actually have grown closer.
Thanks to everyone for participating, especially those who have been kept in the loop for days
due to the brackets being shuffled around so much during the initial stages of the show!
A big shoutout to all those who joined me in organizing this,
in particular SoScared, Hecthor Doomhammer, JazZ_KSC and Ripley.
Also, Kudos to Strelkov, our ever-vigilante substitute player!

The matches will be uploaded both on my and Doomhammers' respective youtube channels
(https://www.youtube.com/user/CovertFlobert and https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtp3X7 ... Ii076Ksgqg);
for those who are just keen on the results, here goes the anti-spoiler wall:

Congrats to The Amholes for taking the well-deserved victory in our Tag Team Tournament!
With FrameLimiter not dropping a single Red Alert game and Barf beating the TD veteran Anjew on his hometurf,
the finale ended with a decisive 6-0.
The Prize Fighters, led by Amphy, came second thanks to an incredibly tense semi-final matchup versus The Art Of Fire,
where they unexpectedly managed to push Murto The Ray and Gatekeeper out of the tournament.

It is through such events that we are trying to expand the OpenRA playerbase,
both on a casual level by encouraging stream viewers to download and play the game
and on a competitive level by having the players push each other and the game to new levels.
In that regard, I think the Tag Team Tournament was a great success
(despite all the mishaps that occurred in the earlier brackets, both on our end and some of the players' hands),
and I'd like to thank all the viewers of the stream for dedicating the better part of two weekends watching us shout at our screens.

Many a new meme has been born (#trikeathlon, Peace Through Low Power!),
and the journey we have embarked on in order to explore the limits of this game is far from over.
The Comcast crew will be back with another competitive event after the summer holidays.
Until then, stay tuned for our regular content, especially SoScared's Monday streams and Hecthor Doomhammer's first OpenRA tournament that is looming on the horizon!

With that said, it is in good tradition to end this post with the traditional catchphrase:

FiveAces out!

And that concludes the OpenRA Tag Team Tournament of 2016.

Congratulations to Frame Limiter and Barf of Team The AMHOLES on the victory, as well as Anjew and Amphy of Team Prize Fighters for making it to the Finals.

Overall for me it was an awesome and enriching experience, especially since I was challenged to host an OpenRA Tournament myself.

As for the videos of the matches that were played, they will take a while, because I have a lot of editing to do.

Kudos to Ripsn for organizing the event, Jazz for doing the technical support and hosting of the Mumble server, SoScared and FiveAces for the opportunity for me to get into the OpenRA community, All of the new followers and viewers on Twitch and the remaining teams that participated.
