Replay of the third round, which Unit158 streamed on twitch, is broken, but you can watch the video of the stream on http://www.twitch.tv/unit158/v/10937460

Finalists are known: http://compo.openra.net/tourn/tournaments/1/
Cool, thanks! Good luck finalists! Has a map been decided yet?

*edit: tournamentsite looks good btw!
*2: perhaps add links to gameresults. They link to replayfiles and possible videos /streams.

Hey hey people!

SoScared and me have produced a video covering the tournament elimination rounds in a newsflash style, so if you're interested in watching a quick recap or if you're an avid competitive C&C player, you should definitely check it out!

Here goes: http://youtu.be/mEfb9cjgOa8

(My mic quality was awful, but I'm going to get a new one by the weekend, where the two of us will be livestreaming the finals on youtube)

Hope you'll enjoy!

Finals report (from gamereplays.org):

(No spoilers on the first match, as you cannot see the match in full due to corrupt replay and game crash)

Team FFA Tournament Final - Main Round CRASHED
http://www.gamereplays.org/openra/repla ... &id=305894

This match was a helluva good match and lasted for about 30 minutes before an unfortunate gamecrash, stopping the match without a definite winner. Also Alapepitua, teammate of Barf, timed-out his connection around 15 minutes into the game.

At the time of the crash, the game looked more like a duel between Newwe-MagicHat (with a slight lead) and Amphy-Materia. Barf stood alone after his teammate disconnected, but played well and survived all the way to the crash point. Chamberlain-Zjordy! suffered a defeat around 25-30 minutes.

Due to the nature of the time-out disconnect and gamecrash the players agreed to start a new match (see next upload). However, Zjordy! and Alapepitua didn't get the memo, didn't return to the lobby, and allowed for Barf and Chamberlain to force a new Allience.

The Final - Extra round has then, Newwe-MagicHat, Amphy-Materia & Barf-Chamberlain, a 2v2v2 on Vegetation!
http://www.gamereplays.org/openra/repla ... &id=305895

This match was a saving grace for the tournament as it turned out to be a classic Vegetation style match. Enjoy the replay!

The Winner

Congratulations to Newwe-MagicHat for taking down the title as the Team FFA champions! You dominated both the main round before the crash and took down the extra round. You participated in multiple rounds, supporting the tournament with stable participation all the way through. Patience and resilience won out in the end. A well deserved win!:D

Good that they decided for a replay.. when 1 leaves the game is just f*cked when it comes to a tournament game. Will watch the replay later tonight. Ive watched the stream but tit seems to be botched? Also the 2nd game suddenly starts and suddenly stops. To bad because you two give entertaining comment. A real addition imo.

Great games, good thing we got a rematch going within 10 minutes of the crash!

Our livecast has been salvaged and can be watched here:

Shoutout to Hotze for the screencap!
As promised, the victor gets his well deserved trophy as well as bragging rights for being the first man in history
to ever have won an OpenRA competition despite opening up with a silo.

Thanks to all those who have contributed to this event in one way or another, be it by organizing or participating,
and a special thanks to all the C&C fans out there who contribute to this small but thriving community!

We salute you, brave pioneers of OpenRA!
