Ai difficulty to use some units

AI seems unable to use some units like medics or saboteur in Dune 2000. They produce them and let them marching near the enemy doing nothing.
I also added some kind of engineer with a mortar that needed to be deployed to fire (a thumper) but AI won't deploy them.
Also AI doesn't use engineer in Dune 2000 openra to capture buildings while it did in the original (they just capture and sold the building shortly after but still is something).
Also the autotarget in the default set all the possible targets but AI will waste their rockets trying to hit the infantry or will try to fire with the rifle against a tank rather than a nearby vehicle. It is possible to set a kind of priority: for example the vehicle first and the infantry after?
