Modding Question

Hi guys 
Been playing openra for months and like it but I wanted more fun by chaging some settings in the YAML files.
I tried chaging some weapons in the CNC Mod section and saved them but when I try to launch the OpenRA CnC, it won't load for any reason and it will close without any message error...
I copied the weapons.YAML and renamed it and went to mod.YAML to set the weapons files... And then it crashes the game and i wanted to make little changes only to have fun.
Please Help Me!!!
