Lordras R.A. Mappack

Post by knivesron »

i decided to remake and rename the topic. this will host all my mappack updates for this map pack.

the basic idea is to have ALL openra maps in one location, easy for download.

So far this mappack contains
-A few maps from myself
-All the other maps on this forum
-Maps from every where i can find origial red alert user made maps from, theres about 400ish so far and i have about another 1200 to convert so there will be updates in the future.

Help needed
-to extract the original red alert original maps from red alert, counter strike and aftermath. if any one can find a way to extract these from the game i would greatly aprciate it and convert them
-any maps that you have and i dont would be good to. post them in this thread and they will be assimilated into the mappack, resistance is futile.

Remember to download only the latest version

Well enjoy, and as always keep it awsome

I have imported many RA (165), and TD (27) maps. Feel free to use. (The First Decade Mappack). They are not perfect, but they are playable.

Thank you..

I want to be able to see a nice minimap of them all without installing them, do anyone have the tools for this?

And are anyone of the hacked in yaml? Or any maps would fit to change some and create instant fun?

Thank you for this. We love your maps

We are passing 100k downloads soon, so let's hope we might get into more mapping and modding soon.
I am looking for:
-another way to view all maps
-large maps for 14+ players
-maps for defense against waves.

This is something I want to attempt, but I'm still in very early planning stages for a layout. Something along the lines of the first ICFRA (Giant Ants) mission, probably.

for waves. may i suggest somthing like the chicken defence mod that they use in ta spring. that way you still get to use the original ra buildings and untis plus have say waves of ants comning in. i like the idea alot. expect the next mappack to be up in the next few days. i have found motivation and am working on the next release

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES

Post by knivesron »

hey guys
knivesron here ... or lordra. finally got another update for you. ive been working really hard trying to get this to where it is so i hope you enjoy the updates. i now have all the custom ra maps i could find on google. and alll the original red alert maps from back in the day.

However there were a few maps that dident want to be opened in the map editor, i still have the originals and would like to get them done eventually if i can figure out how. there is about 300 there.

i also note that there maby be some maps with incorrect spawnlocations as you tend to miss bits wheny ou monotinously do thousands of the same thing over and over again. if you see any problems please leave a post and let me know so i can fix it and have anoethr update.
