I've got the music files set up with the game; has the mod reached the point where we can somehow easily have it play respective music files when appropriate. I took a quick look at some of the docs but it wasn't obvious.

Thanks for all your work; greatly appreciated.

You should create such directory there by hand then.

Having an issue with 7-zip. When I try to extract the files, it's telling me i can't open the file as an archive.

RE; The download links for the GDI and NOD music

Post by Crimson »

Hi, when i click on the inks for the GDI and NOD music a BT webpage comes up saying that it doesn't exist, did you take them down or am I missing something here? (got directed here recently by on of TotalBiscuit's videos, and was hoping to get the music for Tiberium Dawn)

It's all the music from Red Alert and it's extensions. I haven't seen full music pack from C&C.

sorry for being late but do I have to edit music.yaml in my directory d:\games\OpenRA\mods\ra\audio\ ?

I unpacked you music.mix.tar into c:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\OpenRA\Content\ra\v2\. removed the tar extension (do I have to?) and no music is seen. I edited the music.yaml and removed hidden: true for map and intro tracks and ONLY they both appeared.

What am I doing wrong?

That sounds like you still need to unpack it, if there is a .tar extension, don't just remove it but try to extract the files from inside as well.

Just messing about with this, have downloaded the archive - anyone know what the corresponding path is on MacOS? Am browsing within the game Package Contents, assume it should be dropped there somewhere?

EDIT: Figured it out. Extracted the .mix file from OP's post. Dumped it here: ~/Library/Application Support/OpenRA/Content/ra/v2/ can now see 35 or so tracks in Music.

Thanks OP!
