how to use Mod Maps

i play on apple computer and when i download different map mods for some reason i cant play the maps. i cant find the maps when i open Dune 2k to play skirmish. maybe im doing something wrong im not sure if anyone can help me but if anyone can help id appreciate it!

Have you put them in this directory? Mac OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/OpenRA/maps/<mod name>/

Or maybe an Incompatible map designed for a different version of the game.
