Installation issues?

Hi all, new to OpenRA bt played the whole series as a teenager many years ago!
I had this issue first off:
Legacy GPU with no OpenGL 3 support; graphics.log contains this message:
System.InvalidOperationException: No supported OpenGL profiles were found.
The workaround is to add an argument on command line: OpenRA-*.AppImage Graphics.DisableLegacyGL=False (first run only, then it gets saved to settings.yaml).
But now when I run it using that command it crashes (with the same dialogue box (Quit/FAQ/View logs) after the initial Soviet symbol on the screen. But there's no log left either general or graphics.
Any ideas?
