Advice on multiplayer over the internet?

Hello all, I am new to OpenRA. Due to the Rona my friends and I would like to set up a multiplayer from our homes. I suppose I (or one of us) would host. Does anyone have any tips on how to set myself up to host?

If you run into trouble be sure to check like

Hosting your own server is unnecessary 95% of the time. The community provides many dedicated servers that you can join and use - the first player to join becomes the admin and can select the map and game options.

heres my opinion:
easiest - all join the same public server, goto Multiplayer screen and scroll down. first one to join can moderate (change maps, kick other users etc)
easy - create a game, use the button in the Multiplayer screen
