Two vs Two Team Tournament!
Prize Pool of over $100
Two vs Two Team Tournament!
Welcome back Commander. Operation Two vs Two Team Tournament (TTTT) is set to launch soon. Are you ready?
------------------------------------
Tournament Day: February 24th at Noon EST (5pm UTC)
TTTT is a double elimination 2vs2 Tournament played on Playtest 2. It'll be played on new and interesting 2vs2 maps, with a few old favorites as well. It'll also feature the latest community lead balance changes.
I expect the tournament to take about 4 hours, but given the nature of team games it may go longer.
Prize Pool: $150
1st: 40%, 2nd: 30%, 3rd: 20%, Random: 10%. Unless otherwise specified, prize money will be split evenly within team. Payment is through Paypal.
Casting: Soscared
Soscared and I will be live casting the tournament from his twitch channel. https://www.twitch.tv/soscared
Sign up: 16/16
You can sign up as an individual or as a team. On tournament day I will randomly team up individuals. Let me know your sign up either through Discord or on the forums. The tournament will be organized through Discord, so Discord is required.
Edit: Tournament Full! You can still sign up as a reserve in case one of the main teams (or a member of a main team) doesn't show up on tournament day, which does happen pretty often.
Rules:
1. A team can not be composed of two Master's players from RAGL season 6
2. Maps will be played left vs right.
3. The first match of each round, the map will be predecided. Subsequent maps will be decided by the loser of the previous match.
4. Maps can not be played twice in the same round
5. All winner's bracket matches will be B03, loser's bracket B01, and finals B05.
6. Macros are banned.
7. In game rules are standard competitive rules. Explored map, crates off, 5k starting cash, build off allies on, and Bounties On.
8. Additionally, reusable engineers is turned off.
9. Given this is played on the playtest, there may be bugs/exploits. Intentional use of exploits is (obviously) prohibited.

Balance changes are listed in the mission briefing.

Re: Two vs Two Team Tournament!
Tourney has been moved to the 24th (Sunday), as that seems to be a better day for most people. Same time (12pm EST).

Re: Two vs Two Team Tournament!
I forgot there's a new option for reusable engineers in the playtest.
Reusable engineers is turned OFF. That is, engineers are consumed upon capture.

Re: Two vs Two Team Tournament!
engineers consumed!! why???
Re: Two vs Two Team Tournament!
Main purpose of the tournament is to test the new features in the playtest, with potential balance changes, in a competitive environment. I'm willing to give the new engineers a fair handshake and see how they do. With the cost reduction to 400, I think they might be an interesting addition to the game. At least worth a test.
