Implement Sole Survivor as a default mod?

I was wondering if there has been any talk of implementing Sole Survivor as a default mod in OpenRA? I feel like Sole Survivor never got its proper chance to shine back in the day but with the popularity of MOBAs these days as well as the awesome flexibility of the OpenRA engine, it seems like a perfect opportunity for Sole Survivor to reach an audience. I can't imagine it would need an insane amount of development as most of the core functions would seem to already be in place.

I'm sure someone could make a custom map that sort of functions like Sole Survivor which maybe a few people would play for a bit and forget about, but Sole Survivor was an official Westwood release and it has more potential than ever to expand on its initial concept and become a worthwhile default mod all on its own in the OpenRA environment.

I did come across this:
https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/issues/4361

So it looks like there has been some work towards it, although it seems to have stalled out.

I see it more like a good example for mod maps or a thirdparty mod using the new https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRAModSDK

Wow I had never even heard of it until now!

Totally would be into this. I would of bought it back then if I new it existed!

Haha yes, Sole Survivor is quite an interesting forgotten gem not just for the C&C series, but for gaming as a whole. I think the game was fine for what it was at the time (maybe a little bit rough around the edges in certain ways) but there is still so much potential for the concept. I would appreciate a classic mode that is true to the original release, but there could be so many more enhancements done with it under the OpenRA engine.
