Is it possible to land helicopters on the ground? In the original, you could land your helicopter anywhere, not just on a helipad. If it is possible, I haven't figured out how. If it's not possible, does anyone think it should be reimplemented?

The main reason I would want to do this would be to land it near the front line and have a mechanic work on it rather than having to fly it all the way back. I'm sure there would be some other instances where it might be useful (to avert being a target to nearby enemy AA). What do y'all think?

No, it is currently not possible with Hinds and Longbows.

It's possible if you mod it, you can make them default land like the chinook.

The whole Aircraft system is still very clunky, in regards to movement, engaging targets & rearming, Its amplified if you enable this option.

I like the thought of using a Longbow to troll a SAM tho
