Shellmap performance-problems @ RedAlert ?

download and copy-paste this map into your ra - main map folder :

http://resource.openra.net/maps/20766/

and delete "desert-shellmap"

_____________________________________________________________
*for ubuntu/debian

open your terminal and 'cd /usr/lib/openra/mods/ra/maps'

then do 'sudo rm -r desert-shellmap'

download http://resource.openra.net/maps/20766/

and then : 'sudo cp /pathOfyourDownloadFolder/blank-shellmap.oramap /usr/lib/openra/mods/ra'

the map blank shellmap is not going on the maps that you donwload instead (in windows) at AppData and in Linux usr/lib/openra/maps

For those who don't know what the shell map is it's the background map with all the combat going on.

sadly this hasnt been adressed in the hotfix-release-20170527

so im bumping because we have to manually do this step again

I'm guessing this speeds up multitasking if you are running both OpenRA in the background and also using other programs? That's why you would do this?
