@noobmapmaker,

When I run your replay, I see that it was recorded release-20160508. Forgot to update OpenRA? :P
With regard to your suggestion about engineers, I don't think it's necessary. It's a valid game tactic and such a rule would be too hard to check. People would start to build engineers pre 1 minute, to get them ready at 1 minute mark, this will lead to a lot of confusion and disputes.

@klaas,

Your run on Pressure is 14:28, not 14:39 like you mentioned.

Topping those leaderboards! Great play on Barren Land, I thought 1:40 was the quickest possible result :)

Weird, this should be the right version? I think Ive sent you a completely random replay :D

Personally Im in favor of shutting down the Normal AI as well as they basicly do nothing in the first 15 minutes. If I remember correctly the Rush AI doesnt build nukes, which is a shame because if they would then they and the Turtle are most interesting AI's to play thise type of game against.

Also I'd say its not to bad to keep changing the format slightly untill we've found a the optimal format that keeps on being interesting, imo! We just started this so and to bad for those couple times that are set... this is potentially a long living format. Or maybe even build a special AI for this? One that doesnt build Naval at all, attacks like the RushAI and builds a Nuke like the Turtle AI... something like that.

@klaas,
Your run was 23:24, not 27:40. Pay attention to the in-game time. For some reason when you browse replays in the replay list, the game adds extra time. Must be a bug.

@noobmapmaker,
I think the best thing would be to use the current rules first. For next "season", we could refine the rules based on the current experience. By the way, watch klaas' game on Pool Party. Two Normal AIs actually built nukes.

Anyhow, if anybody has feedback on this, stand up and speak up. To me it feels alright to have these rules.

Think it counts until how long until you disconnect from the game since you can see peoples post game chat.

@Kyrylo: agree, lets do this season as it is now and see how that works out.

Ill have to test and see what happens for each bot. Normal AI indeeds build a nuke (not sure if it also fires, ive seen custom AI not fire their nukes) but they don't attack. Rush AI does attack but never builds a nuke. And Turtle AI does attack and build a nuke and also fires it, but if there is water around, even a tiny lake, it can cramp it full with ships :D

Also another idea: allow just 5 slots per map to increase the sense of competition?

I guess you finetuned the fastest strategy now, I can't think of a faster way. I tried not building barracks before, and using the engy from the second conyard, but capturing a building is slightly slower... =P

Now do the same for Haos, to really test those multitasking skills.. ;-)
