Mobile gap generator

I'm beginning to think this is the most useless unit in the game. MAD tank/Mammoth/Apache can be useful against all sides in some edge cases, but for this one, the only case where it seems to be useful is in an allies vs allies matchup where the enemy allies have GPS, which is insanely specific. Is there any other case where this thing is useful?

One possible imporvement that I thought of was to make the Mobile Gap Generator reduce the vision of enemy units around it, thus making it harder for spotters to direct artillery to a blob containing a Mobile Gap Generator.

Right now they are okay in allies vs allies for the reason you said. Other than that they can be a gimmicky anti stealth blob. When your opponent see's the shroud they have to investigate or risk an army actually hiding in there. Or there could be nothing and the gap generator could pull an army out of position.

I do think they need a rework.

they are independent from a power grid ... you dont need powerplants for them in order to work ... so an infiltrated powerplant cant shut them down

also , since they are mobile ... you can adjust their position ... thats esepecially good on a "moving front" ( take divide as example )

other then that ... theres not really any major advantage ... its a faction-specific unit ... that fits pretty much to the Defense-Themed France

however , i got to the point where i too wasnt really satisfied with this units ... and had the idea to completely revamp it... giving it a different purpose ...but eventually closed it later

Hardly use it, but when used against me it is annoying as hell.
