My attempt at a naval map for RA

I tried to encourage navy use through low eco at the start with better suited patches on a separate island. Additionally late game cruisers/missiles subs should have free rain to bombard most bases. Until then soviets would need to counter destroyer harassment with subs and establish control of the water. Even still a player could potentially avoid navy.

There are two ore mines at the start for each player as well as a nonrenewable ore patch. 2 oil derricks are placed up the middle for bold players. On the other island each player gets 3 ore mines. A gem mine surrounded by regular ore is located in the middle on the second island.

Overall I would expect the map to play similarly to singles as it has a similar design.

Dont think its really revolutionairy, but buildng a map that encourages naval is a nice goal. I also think that it would be nice for a naval map to feel more natural. But I understand youve tried to make the map suitabel for competition and therefor very symmetrical. Anyway, go test it and see if it works and people enjoy the map.

Also this still limitely encourages naval because there is basicly one long sea. If you dominate the middle of that sea the opponent cannot reach the other side.\

So it really needs some more place to hide, to pass around to really become a map that is fun for naval capaigns.
