Question about Blossom Trees

In the original Command and Conquer, tiberium didn't just spawn from blossom trees. If it managed to make extended contact with a regular single tree, then said tree could turn into a blossom tree, complete with withering and transformation effects. If one wanted to slow the growth of Tiberium for some reason, he could use napalm or flamethrowers to burn the trees before having a chance to transform (burnt trees couldn't transorm into the blossoms).

Is this implemented in OpenRA?

Transformation of blossom trees is not supported by openra just yet, at least from what I know. Burning trees on the other hand were recently committed to both Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert mods, and will be coming in one of the future releases.

Only to TD atm. the RA PR is just opened and not merged.

True, but since it's similar in funtion to TD I would imagine there wouldn't be any issues merging it as well, whenever the time comes that is.

Only two trees in particular could transform into a Blossom tree, 03 and 13 iirc.

Furthermore, hovering the mouse over the tree would show the name 'Blossom Tree' long before it actually became one, so the effect is at least either significantly delayed, or pre-placed entirely.
