hope this is the right forum to post this, if not you can hate on me...


Since yesterday I cannot connect to servers anymore. I can see them all, but when I try it takes forever and tells me "Cannot connect to [random number] - Server is not responding". I also cannot to the Openra global chat (is anyone even using that?!), its always some timeout error. I did not change any settings on my computer and I play the newest version, I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Its definitely not the servers, because friends of mine can connect easily. Its strange because it just started all of a sudden...

Sounds like there is a firewall blocking the connection. This can either be the firewall in your pc, or the router/ network firewall itself. I'm no expert on how to figure out what is wrong, but maybe something changed last few days?

True, I got a new Laptop for christmas and I got a notification that some firewall ran out. Thanks for mentioning that! Anyone knows how to solve it?

You probably have to make an exception for openra, I remember windows gives you a pop up saying "program x wants to connect to the internet, allow?" Or something.
