If you got a spare minute:
- find people in r/GamingSuggestions who might enjoy OpenRA and recommend it to them!
- ask people to come play OpenRA with you in r/GamerPals.

While you are at it... go on youtube, look for C&C videos that are not OpenRA related. In the comments you'll see many people longing for the old days when they played C&C... recommend them OpenRA!

If you got a minute help OpenRA out by upvoting the posts, thanks!

In future I'd suggest linking to the latest release news post (eg http://www.openra.net/news/release-20151224/ ) a lot of redditors don't bother reading comments.

Yeah, I was in doubt about the title as well. "New release of OpenRA available!" is not really clear when it comes to attracting new users, since they don't know OpenRA.

Suggestions for a better title?

Linking to the new release may be better than an image too. The problem with posting link-posts on Reddit is that I cant add text (only a link+ title). So it either becomes a textpost with the information (and indeed I should directlylink to the new release) or it becomes a link where I post the information as a comment.

I'm not an expert on this but I'm sure reddit attemts to stop vote brigading by various means and could possibly detect traffic coming from the same site. Perhaps we need to find a better way of linking or encouraging reddit votes.

For starters I recommend looking up those submits manually on reddit. Perhaps link to the 'new' sections ;)

Good effort tho! Looks like it's getting upvoted well.

These two posts on /r/Games for the last two releases have done well:

New links are added to the OP (please also keep upvoting the old ones if you havent done it already - thanks for the good comments accompanying them)

@ SoScared. Yes Ive thought about that to, also they might see that I post the same stuff over and over again. In the end I think the amount of traffic brigading is still so low (less than a dozen) that they wont do alot about it, or even notice it. Worst case scenario: I get banned. But then we've already had the exposure and that what its all about.

I've adjusted the title and now I post as linkposts to the downloadsection of openra.net.

Good work NMM, the only problem is that some people (a vocal minority?) don't like that you are saying "new release" when the release came out on Dec 24 - not sure if you should stop saying that or not. Your follow up comments are good though.

Yeah not the best wording, but the release is still new to many, so... :)

Thanks! The BaseBuildingGames and lowendgaming sub reddits don't really fit though.

We should stop spamming "new" release, and start telling about tournaments and new videos. If we get the perfect new video from soscared or anyone else, then we can point to that.

That;s it for Reddit for now. We'll get back when a new release is available!
