radar jammer doesn't disrupt satellite or effect enemy art

some people think it does, here is proof it doesn't:

when artilery is in the radius of it's jammer it doesn't effect the artilery's accuracy:

this would make the jammer much much much more useful late game against the fricken devil that is the satellite and it would become a great unit to push with against mass art
(basicly a counter against the annoying ass strategy which is the artillery push)

posted an issue about this on github: https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA/issues/10317

never mind... never mind guys
you see the radar jammer isn't meant to disrupt satellite or enemy art, thats what the mobile shroud is for : :zip:

Right...you need to harness the power of France for that 8)

hmm we could move the unit (mobile radar jammer) to soviets and have it disrupt satellite

So it would act as a kind of fog-of-war cloak and remove the icons?

yes so that satellite is counterable

Radar jammer does destroy the accuracy of anything that shoots rockets though (destroyers, rocket soldiers, longbows, chrono tanks, etc).

yes but the idea I was giving was the idea that the outer layer of the jammer should effect the accuracy of artillary within its radius however:

the problem found (instantly when discussing this) was that there is already a unit which takes in that role and its the mobile shroud which actually both disrupts the satellite and artillary (along with any long ranged unit)

the second idea is to move the mobile jammer to the soviets (leaving it with all the original qualities) and have the outer layer disrupt the satellite (so that the enemy can not see icons with in that layer) but not the accuracy of artillary
this would give the soviets an actual counter to satellite + art play
