The way the Harpy moves up cliffs is very similar to how the JumpJet infantry were originally conceived for TS, which i thought was quite interesting.
Rather than how they were in TS, they went into flight mode as soon as you ordered them to move a certain no. of cells or more. (essentially making their landed mode pretty pointless, and quite a hindrance in fact. As they would try to land as soon as destroying a target, often getting themselves killed in the process without much micro managing.
Rather than their conception of acting much like standard infantry but simply using their JJ ability when they came into contact with untraversable terrain. Which I remember reading in an article which one or more of the team was answering questions (may have been an old TumSun IRC).
RA2 fixed but also further deviated from their original conception. By simply making them in flight mode at all times.

Him and I will be doing a 12 hour streaming marathon,
covering all the mods and especially the latest Tiberian Sun Alpha!
