My thoughts

My thoughts

Consider buildable areas....too many straggler trees and misc rocks just makes life a pain

When designing a map 'play the map' in your head.

Whats the difference beteen 'great maps' and maps that just dont get played ?

101 tiny details

Bad design is 'death by a 1000 cuts'

What is a "buildable area"?

But anyway I appreciate your feedback. Can't please everyone.

Some more maps, mostly 3v3, this time with more focus on the RA mod.

Buildable area: enough room (no trees and debris) to build a base. But I think there is plenty in most of your maps. The trees are far apart.

Still feel that you need a bit of "pizza-atomica" :) He has some map making principles that lead to amazing 'natural' maps.

These last four maps look good, though! The best ones in that post, imo. Well, and you need to 'plug' them by testing it in multiplayer. Otherwise few people will play them.

*edit: especially the indoor maps seem like good maps to me! They'll probably give good competitive games.

Thanks.

I like PizzaAtomica's maps a lot but ultimately we have different styles.

Bumping this awesome thread.

Due to the rehashing of the maps lately people can find an easy way to download maps.

Btw, links are screwed up. Choose latest revision of each map before downloading.
