A bit late, we all saw it 2 days ago. :p

Your page got more view by the impatient people like me checking for the new cast several times a day every week :p.

34 minutes of naval fun!

Omnom's take on naval goes to the extreme and let's tier 3 naval reach ~ 25-30 cells!

What choke points?

It also had a nuke, IC, tanya do mega damage, and, well, the NAVY!!

Enjoy:

Disclaimer: those were highly experimental naval values and (almost) all of those changes will be changed

Hi vs Barf (France mirror)

Post by GDave »

Here's a great game from Hi vs Barf - a surrender-monkey (France) mirror!

Barf played an aggressive meta style and Hi went for a tech turtle.

It's on SoScared's v1.6b balance-test version of Sidestep. Here's the map:

Thanks Mo and GDave!
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the map from Hi vs Barf, and even a map hash search did not shed any light on this. Was the map potentially deleted from the resource center? Anyway, I'd very much appreciate you sending me the map as well, thanks in advance!

This week's special: Missile Subs on Dual Cold Front in a ferocious 1v1 between Yellow and Teew!

Oh no! I just realised that the map had disappeared. Well, fear not, I re-uploaded it! It's both attached to this message and at the resource centre:
http://resource.openra.net/maps/21367/

I don't think the replay will disappoint and it'd be great if it did get the FiveAces 5-star cast treatment.

I did some spring cleaning on my map account.

I was specing that Barf vs Hi match. There is quite the amount of mean spirited comments and tention displayed in the chat log both during and after the match. Wouldn't recommend putting that up on youtube.

It's a great match with some clutch plays. Further, it's pertinent to the current discussion of macro vs micro. So I think it'd be a pity to deprive folk of it over a few silly comments.

In case it's preferred, I've created a sanitised version devoid of comments (I replaced all comments with '...'). At 6.1MB, the replay is slightly larger than the Sleipnir maximum attachment size (5MB). So here's a dropbox link:

That was not just a few silly comments. Besides there was genuinly bad vibes shooting out from that post-match. If you give a shit you might want to ask Barf about it at this point.

Yes, I had quite a thorough chat with Barf this evening. There is no animosity. Barf is content for FiveAces to decide if he wants to cast the replay.

FiveAces, if you do choose to cast it, then I suggest to use the comment-erased version linked above.

That's funny because the same evening, according to himself, he was very displeased with you submitting the replay to this thread. Which would be natural giving the circumstances.

As GDave said, all comments are removed so there would be no more 'bad vibes.'
I'm sure Barf can post for himself if he has an actual problem with someone displaying this great match.
