Custom maps I made:

Post by raymundo »

Just putting some stuff I made out there. All of the maps have screenshots on the resource center, I had trouble trying to upload em. Please let me know what you think, and maybe some ideas for new maps.

Desert Storm. 1v1, hasn't really been played at all.

Snowed In. 3v3, and Ive had some good feedback on it.

Trench. 4v4 experimental map in that i used a tile in the middle V that can't be built on.The trench is made of a "road" tile so units move faster on it. Not sure what others think about this one.

South Shore Power Struggle. 3v3 map where each player starts with 4 advanced power plants, all of which are together in the south. Only played it about 3x.

Quicksand Divided. 4v4, another experimental map where the middle has a tile which cannot be built upon. This is a "road" tile so units move faster on it.

River Raid is a 5v5 map with many different ways to attack the other side.

All of the maps have previews on the resource center, I had trouble trying to upload em. Please let me know what you think, and maybe some ideas for new maps.

They all look nice! The snowy 3v3 is my favorite. But doesnt the top site have an advantage in harvesting ore?

I'd say go test them and we've got ourselves another couple good maps. At some point it would be nice to make a mappack with ~30 of the best/most played usermaps.

Makes it easy to watch replays and it may generate more plays on those.

I tried Trench, quite liked it because disincentivises basecrawling and promotes vehicle-based gameplay!
Anything that goes against the meta is great in my book :)
